Posted September 12, 201311 yr Hi, can PC Monitor be used through a web proxy? Does it use the proxy settings configured in Windows, or will it try to send traffic directly to the PCM servers via the network gateway? Â We have a requirement to install behind a firewall on a network where web access is strictly controlled via a proxy server only. Â Thanks in advance for your advice.
September 12, 201311 yr Administrators Hello, Â PC Monitor can be configured to route traffic through a Proxy Server. Take a look in the PC Monitor Manager -> Settings tab. Â Also you can consult the user manual here for help on PC Monitor configuration. Â Let me know if you find any troubles using PC Monitor under a proxy server.
October 1, 201311 yr Author Thanks Paul, very helpful. Â Do you also know the URL's that need to be whitelisted? The proxy I need to use only allows access to a specific list of URL's, so I'll need get the PC Monitor servers added to that list.
