Best way to monitor for removed usb keyboard or mouse

Recommended Posts

It occurs to me that I could monitor for an associated eventlog entry for usb device unplugged to catch a removed mouse or keyboard but wonder if there's a more elegant way.

Thanks,

Bill

Hello,

This is possible by writing a plugin to monitor usb device changes and the notifiy you if it matches your filter.

If you need some help developing a plugin feel free to ask ^_^ ,

Paul.

I work for wbacon and he's tasked me with this. Definitely in the 'not sure where to start' area. Can you pm me private contact info (gtalk or something more realtime) so we can talk about this?
