I know the backup monitoring works from 2008 r2+ natively but is there a way of reporting for sbs 2008? Whether it be event log or power shell driven? Cheers

I just installed Pulseway on 4 servers just to realice that 1 is 2008 Standard and 1 is 2008 FE non of which are supported by the WBS. Am I correct that the link you provided above lets Pulseway monitor such old servers for Backup-status? The page you link to says" Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2".

I would really, really, really love to be able to monitor these 2 servers...

Unfortunately, Windows Server Backup server module is not supported on operating systems older than Windows Server 2008R2 because there is no API support on the older operating systems.
