johnd Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Currently when I have the PC Monitor client installed onto a new system, I need to give the installing party the credentials to my account. This of course gives them access to the web-based management interface, which I would like to restrict to authorized administrators only. Â I would like to see some sort of installer or manufacturing credentials feature that would allow a user to configure the client locally without having the ability to use the management interface.
Administrators Paul Posted November 13, 2013 Administrators Posted November 13, 2013 In this case you can use an exported configuration (.pcmcfg) that includes your authentication details as encrypted text. This way you can provide your clients with a configuration file and a password for the configuration without having to share the account details that can potentially expose your other systems.
