The instalation was interupted and noew i cant re install, get an error 1001 specified server already exists. I have deleted files in program files and the kry from registry and still get the same, I am usimg windows 8 64 bit hope you can help

before trying to install it again, open a command prompt (run as administrator) and type:

sc delete "PC Monitor"

I have recently rebuilt my hard drive and can not install the software due to the 1001 error code. When I try to use the "sc delete" command, it responds with Access denied. Any ideas?

Have you right clicked on command prompt and clicked on "Run as administrator" before typing the command?

This worked! Thanks! Even though my account was admin, I had to run the CLI window (cmd) as admin.

That's because of UAC still being active, if you are under windows 8 make sure you disable UAC from registry.
