philljohn24 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 The instalation was interupted and noew i cant re install, get an error 1001 specified server already exists. I have deleted files in program files and the kry from registry and still get the same, I am usimg windows 8 64 bit hope you can help

sarlacc54 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I have recently rebuilt my hard drive and can not install the software due to the 1001 error code. When I try to use the "sc delete" command, it responds with Access denied. Any ideas?

Administrators Paul Posted April 19, 2013 Administrators Posted April 19, 2013 That's because of UAC still being active, if you are under windows 8 make sure you disable UAC from registry.
