Hi

I am experimenting with Bitdefender distribution. At our company, Bitdefender packages are protected against unauthorized uninstallation by a password. When I initiate uninstallation via the Pulseway portal, it fails. I would still like to automate this process.

What would be the best way to do this? A powershell script with an integrated password, or is there a possibility via workflow?

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards, Geko

Hey @Geko - Thanks for reaching out! This is what you can do:

1) Create a new policy with all your preferred settings including your uninstall password as per the image below.

2) Once the policy is saved. Make the policy as default as per the image below. So that any new Bitdefender installation from Pulseway, this policy will be applied by default and the end user cannot uninstall without the password.

Let me know if this works for you😊

Hi, Mariale, thank you very much for your reply. I apologize, I should have been more specific.

As an administrator, I need to be able to uninstall (password secured) Bitdefender at any time, preferably over Pulseway portal, without logon on the affected endpoint. Currently, I have to log in to the affected machine and perform the uninstallation manually by entering a password.

Best regards, Geko
