Posted April 10, 201213 yr I've just downloaded PC Monitor and really loving how it fits so much of our functions perfectly. Right now our company has a set of proprietary USB based devices that we keep plugged in our desktops. The problem is that this batch was poorly manufactured and has occasional failures. What we would like to do is able to be notified whenever one of the devices is no longer working in a USB port. I'm not sure if this is currently possible on the current version of PC Monitor or is there some other method to achieve this? Thanks!
April 10, 201213 yr Administrators Hello, You can do this if you monitor the USB port changes with a plugin. If you know some programing why not try out tutorial: http://www.pulseway.com/netclientapi.php . If not wait for two - three weeks until I release my plugin that monitors HID devices and I will make a version that monitor custom usb devices too. Related post: Paul.
April 10, 201213 yr Author Hi Paul, Thanks for the reply, it would be great if you released a plugin like that. Do you know if there's a way to subscribe to your updated news or could you post here or let me know once you've finished your plugin? Thanks so much!
July 11, 20195 yr Hi Paul How to get notifications if USB device is removed or not working using Pulseway?
July 11, 20195 yr Administrators Hi Ashok, We do have a notification whenever a USB storage device is connected or disconnected. You can set it from the Pulseway Manager in the Notifications -> Status tab. Let me know how that goes. -Paul
