I hope somebody could advise me if it is an issue of PC Monitor. At home I have a running server with several HDDs. It is setup to suspend/spin down the disks after 30 min of no activity. After installing PC monitor service my impression is that none of the disks get suspended. I run the WIndows 8 OS. The impression has been confirmed by the power consumption meter.

 

Any idea what could be the issue and how to solve it.

One feature that would cause it if you you enable it, is disk space monitor. As this would cause PC Monitor to check the disk every so often, but not sure how often.
