  1. "The paid Team plan is designed for MSPs and IT departments and offers a collaborative environment with multi-account management, Remote Control and additional features such as Audit Log, White Labelling and much more. The Team plan starts from 20 endpoints. The Starter plan allows 2 free endpoints and maximum up to 19 endpoints."

How does this work please - is there a pricing difference ?  What happens when you buy your 20th licence - do you automatically move to a Team licence ?

    Many Thanks

  2. We have a Heuristic warning be shown up in various places - always for the same file.  Its been tested against a large number of AV engines and come up clean so pretty sure its a false positive.

    HEUR:Trojan.MSIL.Crypt.gen

How do we report this to Kaspersky to get them to fix it?

It seems that as it is bought through you we have no direct way of contacting them - is that correct?

    Thanks

  3. Something has changed in Kaspersky client version - 10.3.3.275

It is blocking the edit of a config file in the Users Apddata local folder - causing the app to crash

This works with earlier versions of Kaspersky (10.2.5.3201)

Excluding folders and applications etc makes no difference.

The only thing that works is to reboot the server - having told Kasperksy not to run at all - then all is fine.

    Help please !

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

I've just installed this on a server as a test - all seemed to go very smoothly - and looks like a nice integrated solution.

Slight issue in that I tested with EICAR virus (which it reported nicely ..)

But to delete the notification in Kaspersky on the server I need a username and pwd - I tried my pulseway one - it says default user name is KLAdmin

But so far I've not found a combination that works !

    Thanks

    James

  5. Just done a search and seen that this topic has been coming up regularly for a couple of years now.

Are there really concrete plans to add this in a future release or is just an idea ?

I'd add my vote to this being high priority as well - as for us its starting to seriously reduce the usefulness of what is otherwise a very good tool.

As we are monitoring more and more servers we are finding that occasionally the critical notifications are getting buried in amongst other notifications that are useful to log - but not critical.

I'd like to see a way on the android app a way to only be notified of critical notifications.  I'd also like to be able to see a way of flagging emails generated from critical notifications as important so they stand out (if there is a way to do this please let me know!)

    Thanks

  6. Hi,

We have recently moved our email servers - and the sysadmin@ourdomain.com address that all our notifications get sent to no longer works.

If I change that address to anything else it works

That address works fine from anywhere else (inside and outside domain)

There may have been a hiccup on that address during the migration (it took a wile to get created on new system) - so I am wondering if you block addresses at your end in some way if they receive too many NDRs?

If so how do we get it unblocked please.

I can't think of any other possible explanation ?

    Thanks

    James

  7. Excellent - that has it working now.

<<If you want to register webapp instance as a "device" please check "Remember authorization settings on next login" and click "Save identifier".>

This was the step I wasn't doing - I was thinking the save was saving against the user account - whereas in fact its saving in flashes equivalent of a cookie.

I'm still not quite clear what the point of the option to not remember your settings as that didn't seem to do anything for me - but I'm happy now

    Many Thanks

  8. Excellent - except I can't seem to get it to work...

    1) I enter a name and description and save it in the web browser - but I'm not seeing this appear in the PC Monitor manager under Registered Devices (where I was assuming I would need to authorize it ?)

    2) Also - I assume that if I don't save it for next session - then its only live until I next logon (and therefore also not available to any of my colleagues who might logon to the web browser).

    3) If I use the same name (and description?) next time - will it match up (assuming I get 1 sorted) - or is there some guid going on in the background

Have I misunderstood something here ?

    Thanks

  9. Got this immediately I pressed the import button - before picking file etc

Otherwise it seems to be working OK on this core machine

See the end of this message for details on invoking

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

    </configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  10. OK Excellent thanks - don't feel quite so stupid then ...

One last one if I may on the way to finding a credit card ..

I now see I can restrict access by device to servers and / or give read only access etc - but when the device is setup its still setup with the "master" (or only) logon to our account isn't it - and that gives full access onto the web version of PCMonitor doesn't it ?

I see there is something about associated accounts under account details- but only "fully" supported in Enterprise version. Cna this be used in any way?

So is there a way to have a "second level" account that could for example be used to set a device up for read only access - but wouldn't let them change the setiings or logon via the web (and so gain full control)

    Thanks

  11. Excellent thanks - I think that covered all 3 points !

I feel slightly stupid having to ask these sorts of questions - there are obviously a lot of options - some of which are quite buried.

Most things I've found OK by poking around - but as this thread proves - a couple I'd missed.

Have I missed some documentation along the line somewhere ?

I've seen quick start guide, FAQs and some detailed stuff on developing plugins - but nothing along the lines I've been asking here.

Not a problem if not - but if there is I've missed it !

    Thanks

  12. OK - I've been using the trial 3 licences for a week or so - and we love it !

So - looks like I need to but some more licences :-)

A couple of simple questions I hope:

    1) I have seen there is a command line install - but what about configuration - assuming I want the same settings on each server can I copy across a config file from a server I have already setup

    2) I haven't seen any option to email (as opposed to push alerts out to registered device) - so I assume it doesn't exist as an alternative ?

    3) Sort of related to 2 - ideally what I'd like is some staff to be able to be notified of an alert - but not have the full app on their phone (with ability to reboot etc) in case of unsecured / lost phone etc etc. I know I can not allow this functionality - but the admins don't want to lose this ability either! So I was wondering about either:

    a) email of issue (as above)

    B) whether there was any other way of doing this (I suppose looking for a phone equivalent of the PC dashboard) whether this can be done with different users or whether it would require another app

I suspect the answer to 3 is no at the moment - but thought I'd ask - and if its not possible add it to the wish list.

    Many Thanks

  13. I see there are settings that allow you to monitor IIS and then to be notified if application pools or websites are down.

I can't see any reference to what this actually does though - is it just a check that the site is running in IIS and not stopped ?

Are there any options for slightly more advanced monitoring.

My preferred approach is normally a simple screen scrape of a url and then check for text / phrase in the response. This allows with careful use of text to check that a website is connecting to a db OK etc

Any possibility / plans for anything like this ?

We currently use other tools for this - but it would be great to be able to bring it all together under one monitoring app

    Many Thanks

  14. Double failure - ouch - bet someone in the US is embarrassed..

Ah - twitter - guess that makes sense - maybe I will have to give up my Luddite refusal to use twitter then ;-)

    Thanks
