Moving an existing config to a new server, but getting "Error while registering computer:Empty response

Moving from an old piece of hardware to a new one.  Getting the following message from the agent.

Moving an existing config to a new server, but getting "Error while registering computer:Empty response

I've tried unregistering it, and re-registering it, no love.  Any idea's?
