Search Tags/Custom fields?

Looking at these forums it is quite clear that the search function doesn't find currently logged on users. However I haven't been able to get it to work on manually set custom fields, notes or tags either. Is that also not an available function either?

Edit: Never mind I see it now, its part of the drop down itself.
