It seems convenient that the dashboard geminimalisserd can be to a tray icon, because if you quit now dashboard is closed. 
 
And then possibly the alert via a notification on the tray icon

The "show a notification in tray on new alerts' option works well 
 
Only the option to minimize to tray icon (remove on the taskbar) I do not see 
 
I have dashboard version: 4.5.2
