Sure thing:

 

1) Android 4.1.2

2) Yes, I'm sure the computer is read-only (all my monitored computers are)

3) I should mention that I can also get this to happen on the IIS module as well (web pages and application pools).

 

Now, I can tell you that it seems to take more than a "normal" tap to make these menus appear. I find that by holding down on an item (service, process, whatever) for some duration of time, the menu appears (not just a simple quick tap). It seems odd, but I'm guessing perhaps the menu is invoked by some other event (eg. the android equivalent of a "double click" or something).

I'm referring to the android app here, but this may be applicable to the other apps as well.

 

It would be very handy if "percentage based" indicators (cpu usage, memory usage, hard drive usage, to name a few) showed some form of horizontal bar graph in addition to the numeric values they currently show. This might seem minor, but it communicates the current state a lot better at a glance.

 

Perhaps even alter the color of the bar based upon some fixed conditions?

 

For example, "Hard Drive Usage"

 

0-50% - bar is green

50-80% - bar is yellow

80-100% - bar is red

Repro:

 

- In the android app (not sure about others), when you have read-only access to a computer - visit either the "Process" or "Service" menu options.

- Clicking on a Process or Service in the list gives you an action menu item (eg. "Kill Process", "Cancel").

 

Although clicking the action reports that the action failed (so we're not talking about a security issue here), there is probably no need to provide these menus when in read-only mode in the first place.

I can confirm that if I have "Full" access to the computer, I can see the list of updates (as well as have the option to install them) - what I'd (ideally) like is to have that same listing available (minus the option to install) with read-only access.

I would also think that being able to see the list of updates (as well as their groupings) would be VERY handy in read-only mode.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but if you have read-only access, it appears you only see the total number of updates without any sort of listing/breakdown.

For the "history" graphs show for things like:

 

- CPU Usage

- Memory Usage

- Performance Counters

 

What exactly is the time scale for these? It seems like having this available on the graphs themselves would be rather handy.

Is it possible to receive a notification when one of my monitored network interfaces is not in the "Up" status? If not, is this something that could be added?

Pretty much what the topic says - I would figure (hope?) this would never be the case, but worth asking. I assume that setting the monitoring service to "auto update" itself would never cause a reboot of the host computer, correct?

It would be VERY handy if, when viewing the pending windows updates for a computer, I could see a breakdown of the count by Important/Recommended - currently only the total count is shown.

 

 

Scenario:

 

1) My device is set to have read-only access to the monitored computer (not sure if this matters)

2) I have the Windows Updates "feature" ENABLED on the monitored computer

3) I have notifications for critical/important updates DISABLED on the monitored computer.

 

Under this setup, when I attempt to list the pending windows updates for the computer on my device (Android, if that matters) the list is always empty. Only when I actually enable the notifications for updates are they shown.

 

I want to be able to see the pending windows updates for a subset of my computers without actually being notified about them (they are critical systems that can only have updates applied during certain maintenance periods, so I don't want to constantly be bothered with notifications about them).

 

If further info is needed, please let me know!
