EchoOneFox1
I am currently testing PC Monitor on a workstation. When I do a proper Start=> shutdown, I get an email (shutting down). When I get back into Windows, I get an email (up and running). When I pull the plug on the workstation (simulating a sudden stop), I don't get an email telling me it is offline. Is it possible for PC Monitor to send out an email for abrupt shutdowns? I've seen other simliar PC monitoring programs linking two workstations together allowing for systems to monitor each other and send out notifications if a system suddenly shutsdown. Thanks. Staff Calin Posted February 1, 2013 Staff Share Posted February 1, 2013 Hello, Take a look at this thread http://forum.pulseway.com/topic/661-offline-notification/?hl=offline Paul
Administrators Marius Posted February 1, 2013 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2013 You can enable ping notifications between your workstations so if one is down you get an alert from the other one. Paul
EchoOneFox1
I can reproduce the 'up and running' and 'shutdown' messages. I've only been able to get the 'offline' message once after shutting down/pulling the plug and waiting more than 15 minutes on multiple occasions. Any ideas? Administrators Marius Posted February 4, 2013 Administrators Share Posted February 4, 2013 This is by design - you get a notification for offline after about 15 minutes. With the PC Monitor Enterprise Server this interval can be customised.
