  1. Hi, I use high CPU notification to notify me when the CPU usage has been over 90% for the last 30 minutes. Even though I have added more minutes to the time period, I still get a lot of these notifications. I would really like to know what is causing these long periods of high CPU usage but the content of the notification always displays processes with very low CPU usage. Can something be done to get this list sorted by the highest CPU using process? Here is an example of the latest notification: The CPU usage on computer 'XXX' in group XXX -XXX -XXX' is above 90% for the last 30 minutes Top Processes: Windows Explorer (Explorer.EXE): 0.04% Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe): 0.03% Microsoft Outlook (OUTLOOK.EXE): 0.03% Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe): 0.02% SkypeApp (SkypeApp.exe): 0.02% WMI Provider Host (wmiprvse.exe): 0.02% Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe): 0.01% Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe): 0.01% Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe): 0.01% Microsoft Excel (EXCEL.EXE): 0.01%.
  2. I'm currently running Pulseway OnPrem (7.0.0 build 120 release 283), and I'm using Pulseway Remote Control (6.6.3). The issue I have experienced is that the remote control notification doesn't always show up on the client when I attempt to remote control a session. We have 150+ computers in our environment and sometimes it works fine, and sometimes it doesn't, and the different behavior can even occur on the same machine from time to time. Pulseway is configured to automatically allow the remote session if no one accept (or deny) the request within a minute, and I have noticed that even if the notification doesn't show up, the connection will still be established when the timer runs out. To make things clearer, here are two different scenarios. (Scenario 2 is the incorrect behavior) Scenario 1: Select computer -> Select active session -> Client notification "do you allow x to remote control" -> User press Allow -> Remote session established Scenario 2: Select computer -> Select active session -> Client notification not shown -> 1 minute timeout -> Remote session established Are you guys aware of this? Has anyone else experienced the same behavior?
  3. Hi there, This is usability issue that leaves Pulseway's surveillance under high suspicion. We work exclusively in Windows servers. My colleague has installed last week a new Pulseway Agent over a server of a new client and he forgot to report this so that I could increase the number of licences resulting that since last week a Pulseway agent from another client's backup server stopped communicating and so we where not aware that backup needed troubleshooting. In fact the server disappeared from our servers As I understood the new Pulseway agent kicked out a random Agent already under surveillance and that means that a server that we had total confidence to be monitored was not. I'm new in the company and this software and when I've discussed this with my colleagues they've reported to be a known issue and that sometimes the Pulseway agent that stopped being monitored would varied meaning that one server randomly would stop being monitored and then the behaviour would jump to another agent. In the Billing/Overview section of your page it always had 72/72 and so no report of "overbooking". For this server's agent to show again in the panel I had to re-register it. IMO the new ones should stay offline and if this behaviour cannot be controlled, then the moment a client doesn't have licenses the agent shouldn't be able to register. We need to be sure that we can rely on the servers where Pulseway agent is installed and configured or we cannot trust the system altogether. Thank you for your attention.
  4. Hi, I am unable to use Remote Control in my IOS app. When I select Connect on the appropriate session I get an error message: An error with parsing occured. I am using the lates IOS version and the same error occured on my iPhone SE and iPhone 7. I can remotly access the same computer that I tried connecting with IOS app with Pulseway Remote Control on my PC. The computer is running Windows 10 with the latest Pulseway agent. What can I do to fix this error?

Hi, I have configured and applied default storage notification policy to all my Windows workstations that is set to send a notification when the system partition has less than 5% with priority elevated. But all the notifications I get about storage say: The free space on disk drive C: on computer computername in group groupname - Office - Workstations' is below 15% (ex. 16.24 GB free of 118.18 GB). How can I make the applied policy to respect the right percentage specified in the group policy? Do

I am attempting to install pulseway on my raspberry pi 3b+, and have downloaded and installed the correct file from the pulseway website, and made sure that my openssl libraries are up to date and correctly setup. I followed through with the given installation instructions and repeatedly the pulseway service is unable to be started. When executing the command sudo systemctl start pulseway, the command works and presents no errors. Upon checking the app or the list of all services, however, pulseway is not shown as a service and there is no devices connected to the app. See the attached images for the output of sudo systemctl status pulseway

  9. I am having issues with pulsewaycredentialprovider.dll stopping the Windows login screen from loading on Windows 10 1809. I have submitted a ticket to support at support@pulseway.com as well. The issue is that with Pulseway software installed and the credential provider loading the system boots to the displayed screen but will go no further. I am able to run terminal and PowerShell commands from the web interface (prior to software uninstall) but can never log in. Pulseway remote does not work either. This is happening on two Windows 10 1809 DELL Optiplex computers with fresh Windows 10 PRO installations. RIght now our only solution is to leave Pulseway uninstalled. Any information or solution helpful. Thanks. John
  10. Hi, I installed Pulseway Agent on my RPI like they said on the Website. I went to the "config.xml" and entered my Username and Password. When I now go back to the Website it just showes "No systems monitored. Download and install the agent on the systems you want to monitor." I did everything like they said on the Website. I also googled and found out you have to install some SSL stuff, so I typed the command they said on the forum (sudo apt-get install ca-certificate) and the Console just says, that the Package "CA-Certificate" could not be found. What did I do wrong?

  12. Hi there, We are using both PSA and RMM from Pulseway. In the last few weeks we are experiencing some weird behavior between PSA and RMM. We don't use the and never set up the integration, but after we delete the settings both in PSA and RMM, it still comes back. It is irritating us enormously and the support isn't helpful after creating several tickets. I hope someone can help us with this issue. King regards, Tim Roewen
  13. I have a Linux Server that reports as up-to-date version 5.4. Is this correct? Because I can't move it in Pulseway 6.0 to another Organization or Site. I get an error message that the agent requires an update.
  14. 6.0 dropped for me this morning. I hate it and I tell you why. After going through the painstaking process of setting up my Organizations, Sites and Group, I am left with no endpoints visible. The only place I can find them is under Systems > Systems (this needs to be reworded as it is redundant - maybe Systems > Endpoints OR Endpoints > Systems, your welcome for that tip), anyway, while under that location I can see all my endpoints but they are ALL in the wrong location with no way that I can see to move them to where they should be. There needs to be a way to move them either with a dropdown or a drag and drop approach. I did log into an endpoint remotely to look at the Pulseway Manager but no, cannot change which Organization, Site or Group it would belong too. However this should be a moot point as there is no way I am going to log in remotely to every single endpoint so that brings it down to only one way of doing it, through the webapp. Can we get this looked into ASAP as this should be way up there on the list.
  15. I beat my head with this for a few hours tonight, so I wanted to post here in case anyone else needs it. I am doing some custom html using css to make some kick ass email templates. I wanted to place the ticket url into the html but not show the link and control the hover link formatting. When I used [%Ticket URL%] in an existing <a href...blah blah blah> tag, it doesn't just insert the URL, it inserts its own entire href tag with the URL as the display text thus breaking the link. When I finally woke up, I realized to do this in your own custom html, you need to build the href link manually using the psa url and adding the [%Ticket ID%] field at the end.   17. If you create a new ticket (post date of service), you can add a travel expense for a date before ticket creation. You can also change the expense date successfully if done from the expense entry inside the ticket. However, if you go to "My Expense Reports" and open the expense and try to change the date to before ticket creation, there is an error "cannot create expense before ticket creation date". Its easier to do this from My Expense Report and you should never be prevented from adding an expense dated before ticket creation. Thanks
  18. I had a big issue today where replies from clients were not adding the reply as a note, but instead creating a new ticket altogether. In the end, there were 2 causes. 1) In the default PSA email templates, the Ticket number was set as #Ticket No#. This looks really weird in my opinion, when referring to a ticket number its generally "Ticket Number" or "#Ticket Number". I had removed the trailing # on most of the templates. I searched the knowledge base and forums and there was no mention, so it was only through trial and error that I realized that you HAVE to have both # at front and end of ticket number for replies to work. 2) In some templates, I removed the Ticket number all together as it really had no purpose. I would much rather use a Subject line like: "A note has been added to your ticket regarding [%Ticket Title%]" Again, through trial and error I realized for replies to work the ticket number (formatted per 1 above) must be included in the subject. There was another forum post from someone having issues with replies on CC's. In that thread they thought the same thing I did, that adding the Reply Separator field in the message body had all the needed coding to enable replies to the ticket. I am posting this for anyone else who may be searching for this and to also request that header info be embedded in the Reply Separator field so that it is all that is needed to enable replies as notes back to the originating ticket. Also, some documentation on this feature and associated troubleshooting may be a good knowledge base article to post.
  19. I've been trying to automate as many of my maintenance tasks as possible with Pulseway, but I've noticed that the scheduled start time does not correspond with the actual start time. It's not consistent though, so it doesn't appear to be a time zone issue. Here's some examples: Sample: Cleanup Temporary Files Weekly on Thursday starting on 29 December 2016 at 20:00 16 February 2017 21:39 Took 8 seconds Result: Successful 15 February 2017 20:00 Took 15 seconds Result: Successful 8 February 2017 20:00 Took 15 seconds Result: Successful 1 February 2017 20:00 Took 22 seconds Result: Successful 25 January 2017 20:00 Took 1 minute and 42 seconds Result: Successful 18 January 2017 20:00 Took 18 seconds Result: Successful 12 January 2017 22:06 Took 1 minute and 3 seconds Result: Successful 11 January 2017 20:00 Took 20 seconds Result: Successful 4 January 2017 23:56 Took 10 seconds Result: Successful Other tasks have the same issue with scheduling. While basic maintenance scripts like time syncs, temp file cleanup are not time sensitive, Other tasks are. I have my complete weekly patch and update sequence saved as scheduled tasks, and I can't use it because the scripts are not guaranteed to run during my maintenance window. Any ideas?
  20. Hello, since some days my hard disk drives don't spin down anymore while not in use. I tracked the problem down with process monitor and found out that the PCMonitor Service is accessing the drives every minute through the WMI Provider Host Service (wmiprvse.exe). I disabled in Pulseway the storage notification of local disk space on all drives but it did not help. As soon as I disable the Puleway service, the disks spin down after the configured laps of time as they should do. I'am using Pulseway since some years, but the problem occured recently and was not there before. Thanks for your help. Michael
  21. I can't seem to update any agent settings remotely anymore. I normally use Dashboard to edit an agent's config and change the computer name as needed (hire/term). As of about a week ago, this no longer works. The agent config screen comes up normally after right clicking in Dashboard and choosing edit computer settings, lets me make my changes, and then gives the standard "this may take 30 secs" message when saving. But nothing happens, no update. If I go back in and look at the settings again the modifications are not there. This also happens with Pulseway Manager under Manage Systems. I don't see a way to update agent settings using the WebApp. I have not updated my Dashboard to my knowledge, still using 5.1.2. Agent version is 5.4. Doesn't seem to matter what OS the computer is running, happening with all PCs And i've installed the Dashboard on a different PC, same results. The only way to make the changes stick is to login to the computer in question and make the changes on the agent locally. Help!
  22. When adding a new contract, it always gets created with the auto generated contract #, ignoring anything you've placed in the contract # field yourself. You have to edit the contract again to correct it.
  23. When a new ticket is opened via email, the sender receives two confirmation emails. They are duplicates.
  24. When we install Webroot from the "Agent Status" tab in the Pulseway WebApp, it continuously says that it is installing Webroot when in fact it is installed. I can't run any actions until this issue is resolved. What could cause this?
  25. Can someone tell me why this script works locally from the server but not from Pulseway. I've tested running the script both with impersonation enabled and disabled. Both tests were done on server 2012 R2. One with default Powershell version and one with 5.1. This script runs perfectly fine from the server itself just not through pulseway. I have several scripts that give the same type of error. I'd appreciate any help so I can figure this out. It seems like Pulseway doesn't like certain characters?
