Brant got a reaction from Jamie Taylor in Unitrends Backup Agent
I've recently disabled powershell.exe for users to run directly and was notified by those users that they've seen a Windows Script Host error.  The error is  C:\PCBP\UnitrendsScripts\ApplySambaCredentials.vbs, line 14.
That line leads back to a call on powershell.exe to run ManageSambaCredentials.ps1. Since this is the only change I've made in recent memory that would cause this behavior, is it not possible to run Unitrends Backup Agent if powershell.exe is disabled for the user?
The comment in the .vbs states "This script is necessary so the ManageSambaCredentials.ps1 powershell script call be called by the system with no visible window."
Any information about this would be appreciated.

    Hi Jamie.
Restarting the PW service seems to have done the trick. I'll watch it throughout the day to confirm.
    Thanks again,

I too would love to know how often the application snapshot is updated.
As part of this, I raised a ticket to ask the question. I need to know which PC's have software uninstalled\installed on a regular basis so I can do my tasks with this.
The response from Pulseway is that it is updated every 12 hours, however my testing does not align with that answer and I have returned to them with example that show otherwise.
    There is a timestamp in
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MMSOFT Design\PC Monitor\InstalledApplicationsSnapshot so if you can work out how that translates to dd\mm\yyyy and hh:mm:ss that we can go some way to understanding its refresh period.
Perhaps someone at Pulseway could let us know how to convert this timestamp to a human\machine readable format? Or, if anyone else knows - please share!
My ticket is still open, so if I get more info, I'll post here for completeness.

There is a guide here: https://intercom.help/pulseway/en/articles/4384286-introduction-to-custom-fields
but it's not at all clear how the fields are supposed to work as there are no specific examples to follow. Are we supposed to echo the data we want to store in the field?
For example, I have a script which installs PStools and accepts the EULA for psexec. I'd like to store the result of where the PSTools directory is located (which may be C:\Tools\PSTools or D:\Tools\PSTools) so I can use it in my script to run cleanmgr but can't see how to.
Setting the path system variable doesn't appear to work (but that's another topic) so I have resorted to hard-coding the path into subsequent scripts
@Gabor is the author - can you add some more detail into the guide please?
